Rolf Lunheim | Market Anthropology and Workplace Culture
Rolf provides insight into consumer motivation and shifting organizational behavior. He has led initiatives for multinational corporations that transformed their reputation and performance. Rolf is a recognized thought leader on sustainability issues and a driver of the corporate responsibility movement in Northern Europe.

Rolf has nearly 20 years of private-sector experience, and spent the last decade with Norsk Hydro. As Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility, Rolf launched effectual worldwide promotional campaigns and successfully guided the corporation through the adoption of responsible business practices. He has developed new business policies to lessen the impact of mining and oil exploration on indigenous communities and created an innovative partnership with Amnesty International to support and promote human rights. He has worked in Europe, Africa, Asia, Indonesia, the US, and South America.

Rolf holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and lectures regularly about cross-cultural communication and effectively incorporating sustainability into business. He teaches Industrial Anthropology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Rolf speaks English and German, and enjoys playing the flute, piano and chess with his son.






Stephane R. N’Diaye | Responsible Business and Sustainability Reporting

Stephane helps companies to improve strategic planning, integrate new business criteria into decision-making and achieve a strong return on marketing and corporate responsibility investments. He worked with the Global Reporting Initiative to develop its forthcoming Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.

Stephane led business development activities as a senior member of the Sustainability Consulting Services practice at Ove Arup. Stephane created an analytical SRI framework to benchmark and rate corporate social and environmental performance for Vigeo in Paris. He designed programs for the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Trade to support local economic development and expand Colombia's international presence and business opportunities. He also served as a Financial Analyst for the Mayor’s office in Corenc, France.

Stephane holds a Master's Degree in International Business and in Management, with a concentration in Finance from Ecole Supérieure des Affaires in Grenoble, France. He also has a Bachelor's Degree in International Trade Techniques and French Baccalaureates in Physics, Mathematics and Biology. Stephane is fluent in French, English, Spanish and German, plays percussion, and loves the mountains in California, but misses the balmy climate of Senegal, where he grew up.







Dev Novack | Marketing, Data Analysis and Communications

Dev has guided several multi-national corporations through successful product launches, communications and online branding initiatives. She has produced award-winning promotional campaigns, marketing collateral, annual reports and online strategies for IBM, Chase, Clinique, Pfizer, Citibank, Marvel Comics and Wells Fargo. Dev specializes in helping companies to effectively use emerging media to reach target audiences and conduct multi-stakeholder outreach. She applies technology and management tools to define practical metrics-based solutions that will lead to better financial, social and environmental performance.

Prior to co-founding Luminesa, Dev served as Vice President of Communications at Verdecom, directed Public Affairs at National Audubon, and was head of Design and Production at Marvel Entertainment Interactive. Previously, she held senior executive positions at Union Bank of Switzerland and Prodigy. Dev spearheaded the Bay Area Sustainability Initiative to develop best practices for improving corporate impact on local ecosystems. She speaks and writes about how companies can profitably integrate corporate responsibility and global citizenship strategies into core business practices and marketing efforts.

Dev holds an MBA from Alliant International University’s Presidio School of Management, aimed at values-driven leadership. She was the first student to receive a joint Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Design from School of Visual Arts and the State University of New York. Dev serves as leader for Net Impact NorCal: Professionals for Responsible Business –an influential network with 1400 MBA and business school members. She is an avid hiker and enjoys trail running near her San Francisco beach house and home in Woodside.







Tom Joyce | Creative Direction and Design
Tom produces branding identities, corporate communications, direct marketing and advertising campaigns. He also designs books, posters, magazines, brochures and websites. Tom has worked as a Creative Director for Visa USA, Cohn & Wells, and Retail Concepts, an agency working exclusively for the Gap under Don Fisher. In 1985, he co-founded a creative agency in Sausalito, now known as Creativewerks.

Tom has worked with a wide variety of corporate and non-profit clients, including: Gap, Adobe Software, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Intel-Kodak, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, 3Com, JBL Pro-Audio, KGO Radio, Orban Electronics, THX LucasFilm, CityPhone, Viacom, Yahoo!, Blue Shield of California, Charles Schwab, Pacific Bank, Gear 1 Athletic Wear, Macy’s, Royal Viking Line, Miraval Resort, California Milk Advisory Board, Crystal Geyser Water Company, Tejava Tea, Zia Cosmetics, Port of Oakland, Golden Gate Transit, Rides for Bay Area Commuters, Berkeley Public Library Foundation, Harvard Global Peace Project, Paraview Press, Shift Magazine, State of the World Forum, and the City of Palo Alto.

Tom earned a BFA degree from Philadelphia College of Art [now University of the Arts]. His professional awards include the Cannes Silver Lion, the Clio, several Advertising Club of New York awards for broadcast; as well as Western Art Director’s Club, Art Direction Magazine, Caples, and Andy Awards for print. Tom is also a member of The Explorers’ Club, has spoken on a range of topics, and published his photographs and non-fiction writing in a number of national magazines and anthologies. He enjoys an active lifestyle in Marin.
